Gold Rush! 2 invites players into the thrilling world of the Gold Rush era, as they navigate the adventures of Jerrod Wilson. Set in 1869, following the events of 1849, Jerrod embarks on a quest to reunite with his brother Jake, who had previously vanished for over a decade. The brothers have struck it rich in the famed Mother Lode of California, reaping the rewards of their hard work in a successful gold mine.
Over the years, they entrusted their mining profits to Mr. Quail, a family friend and banker, who has managed their wealth wisely. However, back in Brooklyn, trouble brews as corruption reigns under the powerful figure of William Tweed, who has tightened his grip on political influence and criminal activity. Determined to return home and bring justice to Tweed's reign, Jake and Jerrod plan to sell their mine and board the newly completed Transcontinental Railroad.
The stakes are high as they possess incriminating evidence against Tweed. But the brothers soon realize that their cunning adversary will stop at nothing to prevent their return.
