Ted McPain is a formidable combatant in Awesomenauts, permanently unlockable through purchase or in-game Awesomepoints.

Ted McPain is a complex fighter known for his dynamic combat style, alternating between a shotgun with an attack-enhancing stimpack and a machine gun paired with a devastating targetable airstrike. With a repertoire of abilities, he can call in an ion cannon airstrike for maximum damage and activate a stimpack to go berserk, significantly boosting his attack speed.

Once a celebrated hero of the First AI Wars, Ted commanded the elite squad known as the Killer Koalas, achieving numerous accolades for his valor. His most notable feat involved a solo mission to the AI’s battle station, Starstorm, where he sabotaged its construction, ultimately influencing the war's outcome. Tragically, Ted met his end in 3021, sacrificing himself to protect the Sunny-Daisy Alien Orphanage from an onslaught of dinosaur zombies.

Despite his demise, Ted's legacy lives on as a beloved character in various video games. Created by Voltar The Omniscient using the Materializotron XT8000, Ted was resurrected, albeit humorously missing his pants. Now, he continues to battle with style in the vibrant world of Awesomenauts.
