Torn description

Torn: A Dark Science-Fiction Mystery

Torn is an immersive VR experience that merges dark science fiction with captivating puzzles. Set deep within a forgotten forest, players assume the role of Katherine Patterson, a video blogger who stumbles upon an eerie, abandoned mansion filled with bizarre machines and unsettling experiments. This once-magnificent estate belongs to the enigmatic Dr. Lawrence Talbot, who mysteriously vanished over 64 years ago.

What begins as a potential career-defining story for Patterson turns into an extraordinary adventure when she encounters the still-living Dr. Talbot, who exists trapped in another dimension known as “The Parallel.” Throughout the game, players are tasked with helping Talbot reactivate the mansion's perplexing mechanisms, unlocking the secrets hidden within its walls.

Torn evolves from a narrative puzzle game into a rich, character-driven tale as you uncover the truth about Talbot and the twisted reality he inhabits. Engaging elements like using Talbot’s gravity tool for spectacular acts of vandalism add to the experience, while the story is enriched by the contributions of Neill Glancy and Susan O’Connor and an arresting original score by Garry Schyman.
