Build and upgrade shelters to house your survivors and protect them from the threat. Every night, barricades face relentless assault, and a breach means grave consequence for your group: hunger, exposure, and the loss of loved ones.

Manage a delicate balance of needs. Your group’s physical wellbeing—Hunger and Exhaustion—must be kept in check while you also tend to their psychological state, Despair. Heal injuries like Broken Ribs and respond to traumas such as Nightmares. Each scavenging run through the remains of Walton City carries risk, as you push your survivors to their limits to collect essential resources against both zombie threats and hostile humans.

Stealth is your core tool. Decide when to creep past danger, when to run, or when to engage with whatever weapons you can find or craft.
