Each run begins with the crystal in hand and a small reserve of energy. From there you decide how to push back the night. You can adopt a steady, methodical approach: expand the lit area, harvest energy from the shadows, and place defenders to hold the line against emergent horrors. Or you can go fast and reckless, dashing toward ancient structures and powerful artifacts hidden within the depths, chasing shortcuts that may tilt the odds in your favor before the clock runs out.

Failure isn’t the end; it’s information you can carry forward. With every run you mine minerals and unlock new options on a branching upgrade tree, unlocking tougher armor, sharper tactics, and smarter defenders.
