Kunado Chronicles

Wakeful chaos awaits in a post‑apocalyptic fantasy visual novel. The world is ruined by heartless metallic monsters known as Tekki, and civilization has collapsed beneath their iron will. A thousand years later, humanity clings to life in the country of Kanto, where eight hundred empowered survivors live behind fox masks as “nobodies,” contending with a culture rebuilt on constant struggle.

The century‑long war is over—“the battle for the fate of humanity ended 100 days ago”—but the questions of hope and happiness begin now. A young man from a distant past is unearthed from unreliable cold sleep, memory missing but ideas intact from ancient civilizations. In exchange for food and shelter, he agrees to bring culture to Kanto and help shape its future, while the kingdom learns to navigate a world of coffee shops, paper money, and shifting loyalties.

Kunado Chronicles offers more than a story—it's about life, leadership, and the people who carry the weight of a fragile dawn. With more than 20 hours of narrative, two branching routes, and Japanese voice acting, every choice shapes a world built by its own rough edges and fragile dreams.

  • Two branching routes that shape the fate of Kanto and its people
  • Japanese voice acting that brings every character to life
  • Characters steeped in a world forged by Tekki and scarcity
  • Themes of hope, happiness, leadership, and belonging

At the heart are the Eight Swords who govern Kanto. Haruhime, bearer of the title Ichi‑no‑Kami, leads with fairness and curiosity, though she often battles hunger as she protects her people. The protagonist, Shin, is a rational, adaptable bearer of ancient knowledge with no personal memories, tasked with guiding culture through a rough, hungry land. He is joined by two kin‑like heroines—Akane (Fuujin of the Gales), the swift, stubborn younger sister who greases gears with instinct and a love of tofu hamburgers, and Aoi (Raijin of the Thunder), the berserker sister who thrives in combat and cherishes her bond with Akane. They form the core Eight Swords, the strongest fighting force in Kanto.

Supporting Shin is an ordinary young woman assigned to guard him—sent to embody the culture he must bring to this world. And beyond them lies the elder sister—the true hero of Kanto, now believed deceased—whose Kotodama power could shape reality itself. Her memory haunts the struggle, a reminder of what was lost and what might be saved.

Kunado Chronicles is a confession in story form: a journey through a strange new life, where memories, culture, and courage collide to redefine what it means to survive—and to hope.
