SGS We The People is an immersive stand-alone strategy game that focuses on the American Revolutionary War, spanning from April 1775 to September 1783. The gameplay system operates on two-week turns, requiring players to strategically manage their financial resources. Players must decide whether to invest in new units or replace weakened ones, understanding that not all lost units can be rebuilt.

Key game mechanics include the use of cards that introduce randomness and variation in reinforcements, economics, diplomacy, politics, popular support, and combat. The game integrates historical events that enrich gameplay, offering players a deeper connection to the historical context.

Players can engage in grand campaigns or shorter scenarios, such as the 1775 Grand Campaign or the Saratoga Scenario of 1777. The game’s scale is at the regimental level, featuring land and naval units, with the British Navy being a formidable force.
