Shadows of Duat description

Shadows of Duat

In Egypt, 1923, a young archaeologist stumbles upon the colossal tomb of an unnamed pharaoh. As she and her team venture deeper, the tomb awakens, sealing them within its dark, ominous corridors. The pharaoh rises from his eternal slumber, accompanied by his fierce armies, awaiting his command.

Shadows of Duat is an old-school survival horror experience set against the backdrop of ancient Egypt. This indie game masterfully blends the classic elements of horror with modern gameplay mechanics, featuring realistic graphics, immersive sound, and an over-the-shoulder view that heightens the tension. Players can choose from four distinct characters: the Archaeologist, the Engineer, the Mercenary, and the Sage, each possessing unique abilities that unveil different perspectives of the gripping narrative.

Navigating the labyrinthine tomb, players will encounter puzzles, traps, and eerie adversaries, where every sound and hieroglyph offers crucial clues. The tomb itself is a living entity, presenting shifting paths and unpredictability. Exploration is rewarded with secrets and unique items, but every decision holds weight, influencing multiple potential endings where the fate of both the characters and humanity hangs in the balance.
