X-Plane 12 Add-on: Aerosoft - Svalbard XP description
Svalbard XP for X-Plane 12
Svalbard XP offers an incredibly immersive and realistic depiction of the Svalbard islands, enhancing your X-Plane 11 and 12 flying experience. Located in the Arctic Ocean, this stunning Norwegian archipelago lies between continental Norway and the North Pole, extending from 74° to 81° north latitude. As the default X-Plane scenery does not cover this remote region, Svalbard XP fills that void by providing a complete visual experience.
The add-on features all the key airports and heliports in the region, including Svalbard Lufthavn, Longyear (ENSB), Svea (ENSA), Ny Alesund (ENAS), Barentsburg (ENBA), and Pyramiden (ENPY). With an expansive coverage of approximately 61,000 km², Svalbard XP boasts a high-resolution mesh that showcases detailed coastlines and glacier formations.
Players will appreciate the customized local terrain details, especially around airport surroundings, along with meticulously crafted models of all airport buildings and installations. The addition of photo-realistic ground textures and realistic nighttime effects further elevates the overall experience, making Svalbard XP a must-have for aviation enthusiasts.
