JR EAST Train Simulator: Rumoi Line (Fukagawa to Rumoi) Kiha 54-500 series description
JR EAST Train Simulator: Rumoi Line (Fukagawa to Rumoi)
The Rumoi Line is a scenic 14.4 km route operated by JR Hokkaido, connecting Fukagawa Station to Ishikari-Numata Station. The line previously extended to Mashike Station but was shortened due to discontinuations over the years. In this simulator, players can experience a realistic driving experience on the Kiha 54-500 series, navigating through the picturesque landscapes of Hokkaido.
As you depart from Fukagawa Station, travel northward across the Ishikari Plain, navigating the challenging Ebishima Pass characterized by its large curves and gradients. The simulator includes a detailed recreation of the line, featuring key stations such as Kita-Chippubetsu with its unique wooden platform and Ebishima Station, which featured in the TV drama "Suzuran."
This DLC allows for operation of both in-bound and out-bound trains, including sections of the discontinued line. Experience authentic features like automatic announcements, realistic braking operations, and the ability to operate trains safely through the diverse landscapes, including rivers and fields.
With a total of 12 stations, the simulator offers a blend of nostalgia and practicality, ensuring that players can both enjoy driving the trains and safeguard the memories of a line that now exists only in simulation.
