The Silent Column

The Silent Column is an engaging romance visual novel that combines supernatural elements with profound Christian themes. Players step into the shoes of the main character, Tashen, as he navigates a world shaped by a catastrophic event known as 'the fall,' which led to widespread devastation and loss. Set in a post-apocalyptic backdrop, the narrative weaves through Tashen’s interactions with distinctive characters, including the enigmatic Amy, the affectionate Thidria, and the lively Serra.

This 260,000-word game, crafted single-handedly using the Ren'Py engine, explores deep emotional themes, including discussions around suicide, drug abuse, child abandonment, and abuse. The tone, while contemplative and cuddly, invites players to engage in philosophical conversations over tea, reflect on love during tranquil beach walks, and ponder the past in deserted ruins.

The Silent Column contains elements of romance, including sexual situations and nudity, though it avoids graphic depictions. For those curious about the experience, a free 40,000-word demo is available to try before embarking on this complex yet tender journey of love and intrigue.
