In Souvenir, players step into the shoes of a 54-year-old protagonist who is trapped in a world of forgotten memories from the last decade. Desperate to uncover the truth about his past, he embarks on a year-long hypnotherapy journey with a psychiatrist to recover memories lost over the last 44 years. However, progress proves elusive. On January 14th, during a session, he encounters mysterious ruins and a young girl, both unfamiliar yet strangely familiar.
After a power outage leads him to investigate his neglected shed, an earthquake strikes, causing him to faint as a diary falls onto him. Upon awakening, he finds himself at the very ruins he envisioned during hypnosis, now locked with a padlock that belongs to his shed. This intriguing twist raises immediate questions: What links the ruins, the enigmatic girl, and the lost memories?
As players guide the protagonist through exploration and discovery, the challenge lies in piecing together fragmented memories and unraveling deep-seated mysteries. Will he uncover the connections that bind his past to the present?
