The Evergreen: Pines Expansion introduces an enthralling twist to your gameplay, allowing Small Pines to reach for the sunlight in a spontaneous transformation. At the end of each Season, these resilient trees grow into magnificent Big Pines when they find themselves in the shadow of other objects.

This expansion brings exciting gameplay changes, particularly with the Power Activation mechanic. Players can utilize the Small Pine Growth Power to enhance their strategy: simply replace one Sprout treeple on your Planet board with a Small Pine treeple from the pool, effectively enriching your forest.

Moreover, the expansion incorporates special rules that heighten the challenge. Before the Collect Light step of the End of Season procedure, all Small Pines overshadowed by other trees must be exchanged for Big Pine treeples. However, be mindful—only those Small Pines that were already in shadow before the Collect Light step will mature. New shadows cast by freshly placed Big Pines during this step will not trigger growth.
