JR EAST Train Simulator: Oga Line (Akita to Oga) EV-E801 series description

JR EAST Train Simulator: Oga Line (Akita to Oga) - EV-E801 Series immerses players in the scenic and historically rich Oga Line, a 26.4 km route linking Akita City to Oga City in Akita Prefecture. This DLC includes a total travel distance of 39.4 km, featuring sections of the Ou Line between Akita Station and Oiwake Station. Originally opened in 1913, the line has evolved from the Funakawa Light Rail Line into the efficient Oga Line used today.

Players will operate modern EV-E801 series AC battery-powered trains, introduced in 2017. These trains switch between two operational modes—running on electricity from overhead wires in electrified segments and utilizing stored battery power in non-electrified territories. A unique highlight is the recharging facility at Oga Station, enabling trains to recharge while passengers disembark.

The journey from Akita to Oga presents varied landscapes, with picturesque fields and mountainous backdrops visible along the route. Notable landmarks include Mt. Kanpuzan, the beautiful Hachiro River, and the Chausu Pass tunnel. Experience the charm of train driving in a meticulously designed simulator while navigating real-life train schedules across the vibrant Oga Line.
