DCS: Kola Map by Orbx description
DCS: Kola Map by Orbx
Experience the breathtaking landscapes of northern Europe with the DCS: Kola Map, expertly crafted by Orbx. This immersive map encompasses vast regions across northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Russian Murmansk Oblast, along with significant portions of the Barents and Norwegian Seas. Spanning approximately 1,400 km east-west by 1,000 km north-south, it covers over 575,000 sq km of diverse terrain, including majestic fjords, expansive forests, and rugged Arctic tundra.
The Kola map is meticulously designed to reflect its current-day state while integrating features from the late Cold War era, facilitating engaging military operations. Key locations include important ice-free ports such as Murmansk and Severomorsk, alongside military bases that anchor Russia’s Northern Fleet.
Experience enhanced gameplay with detailed urban areas, civilian points of interest, and infrastructure throughout the map. Enhanced night lighting and intricate road and rail networks further enrich the simulation.
The initial release focuses on critical airbases and training areas across Finland, Sweden, and Norway, offering numerous options for both civilian and military operations. With future updates promised to enhance textures, additional airfields, and landmarks, the DCS: Kola Map represents a vital addition to your digital combat experience.
