Train Simulator: Stevens Pass Scenario Pack 02 description
Train Simulator: Stevens Pass Scenario Pack 02
Immerse yourself in the challenging railroading experience of Stevens Pass during the iconic era of the Burlington Northern with the Stevens Pass Scenario Pack 02 from High Iron Simulations. Established in 1970, the Burlington Northern emerged from a combination of historic railroads and dominated the rugged Stevens Pass until merging into BNSF in 1995. This scenario pack introduces ten new authentic career scenarios that vividly capture Burlington Northern railroading from the early 1970s through the 1990s.
Covering 154 route miles, the Scenic Subdivision intersects the Cascades, featuring striking landscapes and demanding grades of up to 2.2 percent, highlighted by the impressive 7.8-mile Cascade Tunnel. Players will engage in intermodal, manifest freight, unit train, local, and switching operations while controlling diverse BN EMD and General Electric diesel locomotives.
Key scenarios include:
- Handling Train 3, an intermodal freight, up the Cascades.
- Working a Tacoma-bound transfer run from Everett.
- Leading a coal empties train eastbound with an EMD F45.
- Engaging in local switching duties and freight operations with various locomotive configurations.
Stevens Pass Scenario Pack 02 offers an authentic railroad experience depicting the vibrant colors and operational challenges of the Burlington Northern during its prime.
