This expansive pack features three distinct types of BR brake tenders, including two prototypes and one main production variant, each equipped with three different types of bogies. The Diesel Brake Tenders, which were crucial for enhancing braking power on non-fitted and partially fitted stock, weighed 35 tons and were built using existing bogies from pre-nationalisation coaching stock. Originally ordered by BR, these tenders addressed the braking challenges posed by the weaker stopping force of BR's new diesel locomotives compared to steam engines. The prototypes were constructed in 1961 and 1962, while the primary production models were produced between 1964 and 1965, serving until the 1980s before being scrapped.
