Two decades after this tragedy, the city, untouched by any government's control, becomes a pilgrimage site for millions, although only a handful of espers remain as guardians against disturbing supernatural occurrences.

As players step into the shoes of Mirai Kagami, a young esper sent by a secret organization, they will unravel dark secrets hidden within the MEMORIAL. The dead, who perished beneath the rubble, are returning in bizarre and frightening forms, igniting a race against time to decipher their message before the impending Apocalypse.
