How We Die

In How We Die, players embark on a deck-building roguelike adventure that seamlessly blends the essence of board games and tabletop role-playing games (TRPGs). The game kicks off with a scenario where Hic and Illec unwittingly summon aliens during a TRPG session. The next day, they find themselves amidst an unexpected alien invasion in reality, with their game master, Is, leaving them a cryptic message: "Come to my home."

As players navigate through various maps, they will need to pack useful tools to survive against formidable enemies. Progression demands more than just bare hands; strategic use of tools is essential. Players can utilize tools consecutively, harnessing the power of combos to enhance efficiency and tackle challenges effectively.

In How We Die, players can also enhance their characters by utilizing dice as resources and action points, modifying their faces to improve probabilities and create strategic combinations. Additionally, players have the freedom to customize their character's settings, even adding elements that could lead to quirky outcomes, such as alien worship beliefs, to boost their draw counts.
