Set in the tumultuous year of 1209 within the Septian Calendar, The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II ushers players back into the Republic of Calvard, where a tenuous peace is shattered by a series of grisly murders linked to a mysterious crimson beast. As various factions—both lawful and criminal— vie for power amidst this chaos, the protagonists must navigate through intrigue and danger in their quest for truth.
The game centers on Van Arkride, a spriggan leading the investigative agency Arkride Solutions. Following an unexpected visitor’s arrival, Van embarks on a perilous journey to uncover the identities and motives behind the murders, further complicating the already complex scenario involving the search for the enigmatic eighth Genesis.
