Parliament of Hell 1796 description

Game Description: Parliament of Hell 1796

Step into the shoes of Matthew Gregory Lewis, a young gay poet thrust into the political arena against his will. In Parliament of Hell 1796, you are forced to take on the role of a Tory MP for the minuscule village of Hindon, where the voting population is a mere three. As Matthew struggles against the constraints of his father’s coercive ambitions, he yearns for the freedom to craft his gothic horror tales.

Your mission? Help Matthew escape the clutches of Parliament while racing against time—a ticking clock that echoes Big Ben’s chimes. Utilize strategic choices to navigate various quests aimed at getting him disinherited and discharged from this hellish position.

Experience non-linear storytelling with a variety of pathways and endings, all while embracing replayability through time loop mechanics. With charming 8-bit graphics and a captivating chiptune soundtrack, this game, penned by a BAFTA, Nebula, and Hugo award-winning writer, is infused with classic British satire and classy homoeroticism, set against a backdrop enriched with historical characters.
