RogueCards combines the engaging mechanics of deck-building with the thrill of roguelike gameplay, inspired by the traditional Japanese card game "Daifugo." In this game, players alternate turns, aiming to play stronger cards than those on the table. Successfully defeating your opponent's cards allows you to deal damage, while defending against their attacks requires strategic use of stronger cards.

The game retains classic elements like "Revolution," "Binding," and "Eight Cut," which can trigger through specific card combinations or skills. Each of the 53 unique cards, including a Joker, can evolve, increasing their attack and defense powers, and potentially surpassing the strength of higher-numbered cards. This growth mechanism encourages players to develop effective strategies while countering their opponents' enhanced cards.

Cards come equipped with various attack and defense skills, adding depth to combat. Skills such as "Critical" and "Just Guard" enhance attack and defense power under specific conditions, while others offer unique advantages in specific situations, like "Rebellion" during a Binding.
