In the tumultuous lands of the County of Fernandez, darkness looms as the Count lies gravely ill, his condition shrouded in secrecy from both nobility and commoners alike. With the Countess lacking the power to govern the county effectively, she faces overwhelming challenges, including an assassination attempt on her life and the kidnapping of her daughter. To confront these threats, she must bolster her defenses and seek the aid of exceptional individuals.

Among them is Manuel Vermonda, a battle-hardened warrior who chooses to abandon his violent past in favor of a peaceful life devoted to art and literature. However, fate calls him back into action when he receives an invitation to serve the Countess. Tempted by a mysterious voice that promises redemption for his past misdeeds, Manuel is drawn back into a world of intrigue and danger.
