"The Superfluous" [soo-pur-floo-uh s] is an exhilarating cave-diving, sci-fi, rogue-lite platformer that combines fast-paced gameplay with intense explosions and jet pack action. Your mission is to avert an impending catastrophe: an asteroid named BAR-101 is on a collision course with Earth. Assemble and lead a squad deep into the asteroid's core to plant a Zero-Point-Energy bomb and obliterate it.
This rogue-lite experience features randomly generated levels that increase in difficulty, ensuring that each playthrough is unique. Players face the challenge of perma-death for individual characters, but they can be cloned back to level 0 for further missions. When a mission fails, players must decide whether to retreat with their loot or press on.
Enjoy local co-op gameplay with a friend, or challenge them in the planned arena mode.
