Witchfire is an immersive single-player RPG shooter crafted by the developers behind iconic titles like Painkiller and Bulletstorm. In this thrilling adventure, players embark on dangerous expeditions to battle fierce foes while enhancing their skills and arsenal. As you scour vast biomes for valuable resources, you can choose to retreat to your sanctuary or tempt fate by facing the terrifying Familiars—powerful guardians of the witch.

Your mission is to confront the Witch of the Black Sea and her witchfire-infused army, relying on your skill and knowledge to succeed. Death is not final; if you fall in battle, you have an opportunity to reclaim your lost treasure or return with a strategic new approach. The game utilizes a roguelite system called Arcana, allowing you to strengthen your character and arsenal with each encounter as you build your unique preyer from the wickedly transformed sinners sustained by witchfire.

In the Hermitory, your base of operations, choose from a vast array of weapons, spells, and artifacts to craft your preyer. Delve into the story of the ongoing war between the Church and the witches as you uncover the mystery behind crashing ships and search for powerful artifacts to shift the balance.
