Train Simulator: C-424 description
Train Simulator: C-424
Step into the world of North American railroading with the Train Simulator Classic's C-424, a remarkable representation of Alco's iconic diesel locomotive introduced during the "diesel horsepower race" of the 1960s. The Century 424 (C-424), a 2,400-horsepower, four-axle road-switcher, debuted in 1963 and was designed to rival the popular Electro-Motive “Geep” series and GE's U25B.
Developed by Diesel Workshop, this simulator offers a captivating experience featuring the C-424 in authentic Burlington Northern and Spokane, Portland & Seattle liveries. Originally manufactured from 1963 to 1967, the C-424 saw a total of 190 units built, with a significant number operating in Canada and the U.S. After merging into Burlington Northern in 1970, the Alco C-424s played a vital role in freight operations, especially on key routes like the Inside Gateway.
This package delivers a fully immersive experience with realistic performance, sounds, and operating controls, including three career scenarios based on the Feather River Canyon Enhanced route. Quick Drive compatibility allows for even more flexibility in your gameplay. Take command of this stunningly recreated diesel locomotive and experience the nostalgia of 1960s railroading!
