Train Sim World® 5: BR Class 20 'Chopper' Loco Add-On description

Train Sim World® 5: BR Class 20 'Chopper' Loco Add-On

The BR Class 20 'Chopper' is a remarkable addition to the Train Sim World® 5 experience, showcasing the unique diesel locomotive that revolutionized British Railways during the 1950s. Developed as part of the English Electric Type 1 series, this locomotive delivered 1000hp (746 kW) and was initially known for handling light, mixed-freight traffic across the Midlands and Scotland.

Featuring a distinctive single cab design, the 'Chopper' offers cab controls that face both directions, enhancing operational flexibility. Its unique engine sound, reminiscent of a helicopter, has earned it affectionately named 'Chopper' among rail enthusiasts. A total of 228 units were produced between 1957 and 1968, and the Class 20s continue to operate today, with many preserved on heritage railways.

This add-on includes a BR Railfreight livery, a PGA hopper wagon, and prioritizes true-to-life performance and handling. Players can experience three engaging scenarios, along with interactive training modules tailored for the Tees Valley Line. It also allows operation in Timetable Mode, enhancing traffic levels and providing a rich driving experience powered by advanced simulation technology.
