In Piece Yourself Up, you take on the role of a robot navigating a chaotic world where mental and physical challenges are represented through gameplay mechanics. Your primary weapon, a large spoon, acts like a sword, allowing for sweeping attacks and the ability to deflect enemy projectiles. However, every attack costs spoon reserves, so strategic planning is essential. You can hold a maximum of 12 spoons, symbolizing your limited energy levels, a nod to Christine Miserandino's 'Spoon Theory'.

Your smaller spoons serve as precise projectile weapons that deal significant damage but consume a full spoon from your reserves. As you battle through your day, your robot body is unstable, losing parts due to enemy attacks or simply the passage of time. To survive, you must scavenge parts from defeated enemies to replace your missing limbs.

This game was created in response to the inKUbator Game Jam 2024 theme 'Everything Falls Apart', reflecting the everyday struggles faced by individuals with chronic conditions. Tasks that seem simple can become demanding obstacles in your journey through each day.
