Welcome to Shades, an immersive first-person shooter developed by Mamat, a passionate new French game developer using Unreal Engine 5. Frustrated with conventional FPS games, Mamat created a unique experience that emphasizes realism with minimal HUD, menus, or intrusive effects.

In Shades, players assume the role of a mercenary tasked with a variety of missions, incorporating elements of infiltration, espionage, and tactical extraction. This game prioritizes player freedom within richly detailed environments, allowing for exploration without invisible walls or arbitrary barriers.

Currently, the early access release features:

Four distinct maps, including a customizable home and training bunker.
A range of ten customizable weapons, including sniper rifles and handguns, alongside various grenades and melee options.
A basic AI system and foundational gameplay mechanics.
