In ChessRogue, players have the flexibility to buy pieces, select their game mode, and set their name, all while aiming for the top of the online high scores. The game features three distinct modes:
- ChessRogue mode: Command a King piece and lead your party to reach level 50 while facing both familiar and exotic chess pieces in the dungeon.
- Gauntlet Endurance mode: Start with only your initial pieces (minus the King) and see how deep you can venture into the dungeon.
- Eight By Eight mode: Experience the challenge of ChessRogue gameplay on a classic 8x8 chessboard with predetermined layouts.
