METAMORPHOSIS is a brutal 2D pixel art horror game built around exploration, survival, and making the most of whatever you can find in a world that has already died. Every step forward is a risk: resources are scarce, threats are relentless, and the unknown is often more dangerous than what you can see.
You play as Aria, a nun branded a sinner, driven by the need for absolution. Your pilgrimage leads you through desolate ruins and cursed corridors toward the Golden Star—a distant promise of the last paradise left in existence. In METAMORPHOSIS, faith and fear walk side by side: the world doesn’t forgive, and neither do the things that haunt it.
Explore, adapt, endure
Progress comes from careful navigation and curiosity. Search every corner for equipment, tools, and hidden paths. Learn how environments connect and where danger tends to gather. METAMORPHOSIS rewards players who pay attention, experiment, and prepare—because even a small mistake can mean a brutal death.
Combat with teeth
Aria has access to multiple ways to fight back, but no weapon is a guaranteed escape. You’ll test different tools of survival, balance offense with caution, and face enemies that can overwhelm you if you rush in blindly. The horror isn’t only in what you see—it’s in how quickly situations can collapse when you’re unprepared.
