Absolum
Absolum is a high-impact side-scrolling beat ’em up infused with modern roguelite structure, created by the teams known for redefining the genre. It delivers arcade-style fantasy action with deep replayability, set in the original world of Talamh, brought to life with premium art and animation.
Talamh lies in ruins after a magical cataclysm triggered by power-hungry wizards, leaving common folk fearful of all magic. Seizing the moment, the Sun King Azra rises to power, enslaving wizards through his Crimson Order and installing loyal princes to dominate conquered realms. As his armies expand their grip, the high enchantress Uchawi and a growing rebellion step out of the shadows—wielding forbidden magic to challenge Azra’s absolute rule.
Choose from a cast of outcast heroes, each with a distinct fighting identity:
- Galandra, a relentless warrior from Yeldrim, combines crushing greatsword precision with chilling necromantic power.
- Karl, the last free dwarf, blends bare-knuckle brawling with an ancestral blunderbuss for explosive close-range control.
- Brome, a wizard prodigy determined to safeguard the future of his people.
- Cider, a swift skirmisher searching for answers among the shattered fragments of their own soul.
Combat is fast, strategic, and skill-driven: weave rapid combo chains with spellcasting, time magical counters, and leverage rare items to swing impossible fights. Every run offers multiple routes, shifting challenges, and unpredictable encounters, pushing you to adapt your build and tactics as you hunt down Azra’s elite guard.
Fight alone or rise together in two-player co-op (couch or online), combining elemental abilities and syncing attacks into devastating chained combos. Your journey spans secret-laced regions—from the mighty mines of Grandery to the lush forests of Jaroba—set to a sweeping soundtrack led by Gareth Coker, with contributions from Yuka Kitamura and Mick Gordon.
Note: Controllers are required for local multiplayer.
