Look Outside is a survival horror RPG set entirely within a single apartment building caught in the wake of an unexplainable catastrophe. One simple mistake—looking out the window—turns people into grotesque, twisted monsters, and the outside world becomes an unknowable threat. Trapped inside, you’ll have to endure the building’s shifting dangers, strange survivors, and the horrifying consequences of curiosity.

Survive the Building

Your apartment is your only real refuge. From there, you’ll plan tense expeditions into hallways, stairwells, and neighboring rooms to scavenge for food, supplies, and weapons. Every trip is a risk: resources are limited, threats are unpredictable, and you’re never sure what—or who—you’ll meet behind the next door.

After each run, return home to recover and regroup. Use what you’ve gathered to cook meals, craft tools, and stabilize your situation. Quiet moments matter: taking time to rest, play small games, and rebuild routines becomes part of staying sane while the mystery tightens around you.

Turn-Based Combat with Tactical Space

Confrontation is unavoidable. Combat is turn-based, but positioning and distance play a major role—space between you and your enemies can be as important as what you’re holding. Fight with improvised weapons and items pulled from the building’s remains, and adapt your approach as encounters escalate.

Face a huge variety of threats, including over 150 hand-crafted creatures and a roster of dozen boss encounters that push your planning, resource use, and nerve.

Body Horror, Allies, and Unsettling Encounters

The building is populated by an unconventional cast—some human, some not, and many hovering somewhere in between. The game leans heavily into an impeccable body-horror aesthetic, pairing unsettling visuals with characters that can be unpredictable, darkly funny, or outright disturbing.

Not everyone you meet is an enemy. Some characters can become allies you recruit, offering help and insight as you provide them shelter in your apartment. Inviting the right people in may change what you learn—and what you’re able to survive.

Short, Experimental, and Replayable

Designed as a focused, weird, and uncompromising experience, Look Outside delivers roughly 10–12 hours of playtime with multiple paths, varied encounters, and several different endings depending on what you do, who you trust, and what you uncover.
