Dorke and Ymp
Dorke and Ymp is a captivating puzzle adventure platformer originally developed for the Super Nintendo by the Swedish company Norse in the early 1990s. Although it was left unfinished and never officially released due to a lack of publisher interest, we have revived this hidden gem by acquiring the original source code, which was about 50% complete. After over a year of dedicated work, we are proud to present the fully realized game.
In Dorke and Ymp, players embark on a challenging journey to assist Dorke, along with his companion Ymp, in performing errands for an evil Master Wizard. In exchange, the wizard promises to teach Dorke magic spells. The game features over 40 intricately designed levels, a new Volcano world, and approximately 10 hours of gameplay, ensuring a rich experience for players.
Players will encounter over 100 bug fixes, a password system, and four exciting boss fights, all while engaging in classic platforming gameplay with a mix of puzzles. Designed for hardcore gamers, Dorke and Ymp promises a thrilling challenge that will test even the most skilled players.
