The Dope Game

The Dope Game is a remastered take on John E. Dell's Drugwars, set in the fictional city of Starkham, Blannington within the CoaguCo universe. After a reckless loan from the local loanshark Sweaty Mike, arranged through your friend Preston, you embark on a timed mission to squeeze as much profit as possible from the illicit drug trade.

Gameplay centers on selling drugs while evading the police, avoiding hostile locals, and navigating a volatile market that changes as you play. Move between 18 distinct locations around Starkham—including Crockfort, Pinky’s Gun Emporium, Murphy's Lake, The Noose & Rafter Bar, Hillside, and Saint Jaysus Memorial Hospital—to interact with people, strike trades, and expand your operation. Almost everyone you meet can be fought or bartered with, giving you multiple paths to success.

In this world, you’ll juggle a diverse catalog: 16 different drugs to buy and sell, a drop/find system for drugs, money, armor, and weapons, and a wide array of gear to keep you alive as the heat rises. The game also lets you push the envelope with riskier options, including selling organs for profit, offering a dark but freeing expansion of the market’s options.

Enhancing the experience are fully hand-drawn art by GP Garcia and an original soundtrack by Macabre Gandhi, delivering a unique aesthetic and atmosphere to Starkham. The remastered presentation supports multiple play styles and modes, including Holiday, SFW, and Hard modes, to tailor the challenge to your appetite for danger.
