Big Theft Valkeala is an open-world, third-person shooter adventure where you step into the role of Terentius Duval. Set in a large sandbox inspired by classic crime-action games, your main objective is simple: explore, survive, and hunt down hidden money bags scattered across the map.

The world is built for roaming and discovery, featuring multiple distinct areas to visit, including a beach, city streets, industrial zones, a military area, and a desert. Each region offers its own atmosphere and routes to explore as you search for collectibles and move between locations.

Your goal is to find all 12 hidden money bags. Every bag you discover counts toward completion and rewards you with Steam achievements, turning the map into a scavenger hunt that encourages you to check back alleys, remote corners, and unexpected hiding spots.

But Valkeala isn’t just sightseeing. The open world is populated with NPCs: pedestrians wandering on foot and drivers cruising around in cars with randomized movement. Some NPCs can become dangerous—especially if you choose to use weapons against them. If conflict breaks out, be prepared for NPCs who can shoot back, turning a casual search into a tense firefight.

To help you handle threats (or cause trouble), you’ll have access to multiple weapons, including options like rifles and shotguns. For getting around faster, you can also use vehicles, making it easier to travel across the large map and reach far-away areas in your hunt for the remaining bags.

If Terentius Duval is defeated, you won’t be stuck for long—after death you will respawn at different locations, allowing you to jump back into exploration and continue your progress.
