NORTH description

NORTH immerses players in a haunting cyberpunk universe where they embody a man seeking asylum in a sprawling mega-city inhabited by strange creatures and bizarre customs. The game poignantly addresses the contemporary refugee crisis, echoing themes reminiscent of Blade Runner. As you navigate this unfamiliar world, you will encounter various challenges that unfold through exploration and engaging puzzles.

The gameplay is straightforward, yet the true challenge lies in deciphering the steps necessary to obtain asylum. You’ve journeyed from a distant southern land, only to find yourself lost and bewildered. This feeling of confusion is conveyed through heartfelt letters written to your sister back home, which serve as both narrative devices and guidelines for your tasks. These letters enhance the storytelling while propelling the game's progression.

With a playtime of 20 to 40 minutes, NORTH offers a concise yet impactful experience, accompanied by a compelling dark synthpop soundtrack featuring eight original tracks that perfectly complement its atmospheric visuals. Prepare to explore the depths of this unique city as you strive for safety and understanding in a world fraught with uncertainty.
