Cave Crave VR description

Cave Crave VR

Enter a vast underground world in Cave Crave VR, a realistic VR spelunking adventure where the cave itself is your only map. Explore irregular, natural cave systems built to feel authentic—no repetitive, tiled tunnels—while you climb, crawl, squeeze through tight passages, and descend into mysterious depths guided only by your instincts and the marks you leave behind.

Explore without a map

There’s no built-in map system. To navigate and return safely, you’ll mark your route with chalk, create your own clues on cave walls, and learn to read the environment. Every chamber, crack, and passage becomes part of your memory—and your survival strategy.

Physical VR challenges & tools

  • Free climbing mechanics: climb walls and ceilings and choose your own routes—no predefined paths.
  • Overcome steep climbs, narrow tunnels, and slides as the cave tests your control and endurance.
  • Use a hammer to clear obstacles, remove debris, and open blocked routes.
  • Scale surfaces with ice axes for confident traversal in difficult sections.
  • Maintain your gear to keep it reliable when conditions get demanding.

Immersion over cheap scares

This is not a jump-scare game. The tension comes from the cave: limited visibility, the atmosphere, and practical threats like headlamp battery life and the pressure of pushing deeper when your nerves tell you to turn back. Reactive environments, subtle details, and grounded interactions (from shifting rocks to dripping water) make every expedition feel alive.

Multiple modes for every kind of explorer

  • Story Mode: follow Jake as he retraces his father’s path, uncovering family secrets in the depths.
  • Horror Mode: a standalone, tense experience with limited tools and unfamiliar routes, unlocked after Story Chapter 1.
  • Tourist Mode: explore at your own pace with atmospheric audio, including the famous Nutty Putty cave with an audio guide by rescuer Brandon Kowallis.
  • Arcade Mode (coming soon after premiere): time trials, checkpoints, and fitness-fueled routes for speedrunners.

Upcoming free updates will expand the experience with breath management and underwater cave diving tied to that system.
