The Orphan Dreams description

The Orphan Dreams

The Orphan Dreams is a gripping permadeath adventure game interwoven with RPG mechanics, set in the eerie atmosphere of an orphanage. Players take on the role of a young orphan who, during a dream, uncovers a letter from a mother he has never known. This discovery propels him on a quest to unveil the mysteries surrounding his family while confronting the dark secrets hidden within the orphanage.

The game features:

  • Old-school gaming mechanics: no checkpoints, no retries, no mercy.
  • Beautiful hand-drawn 2.5D graphics that provide both engaging gameplay and a sense of depth.
  • Two expansive chapters filled with a variety of levels in both the dream and real worlds.
  • A blend of gameplay styles: fight monsters and collect loot in dreams, and navigate daily life in the orphanage.
  • Puzzles and quick-time events with time constraints for added challenge.
  • Hidden areas and formidable bosses to discover and conquer.
  • Multiple endings, with the true ending unlocking Chapter 2.

Note: Despite its cartoonish graphics, the game contains scenes of violence and gore, making it unsuitable for children.
