Deepest Blue description

Deepest Blue

As humanity takes its first steps into deep space, an old enemy returns: the SEIDDAB. Deepest Blue is a retro-styled space sandbox built to run smoothly on a general laptop or PC, delivering the scope and pace of a massive multiplayer universe—without demanding high-end hardware.

You command up to 9 remotely piloted ships, switching between direct flight and high-level fleet control. Pilots remain safe when ships are destroyed, but lost hulls must be replaced—making every decision in combat and logistics matter. A living galaxy of 500+ active ships creates constant activity: escorts form up, traders move freight, and battles reshape the balance of power.

Missions & Open-World Freedom

  • Pioneer warp paths and discover where new gates lead.
  • Survey unknown sectors, map them, and use stealth scanning on suspicious features or enemy bases.
  • Prospect multiple resource types and ship them to processing plants.
  • Deploy base parts and munitions from supply points to deployment targets.
  • Freight goods between bases to fuel expansion.
  • Military operations: attack, defense, interception, hunting intruders, and mission support.
  • Salvage abandoned cargo, base parts, or munitions left behind after combat.

Prefer to go your own way? Trade, prospect, and sell to the highest bidder—or take renegade jobs. Unscrupulous pilots can disable friend-or-foe identification and try to force others to abandon cargo, but being identified puts a bounty on your head, turning you into prey for hunters.

Combat & Ship Systems

Combat ranges from first-person dogfighting to commanding capital ships with multiple gun banks firing in up to four directions for devastating broadsides. Manage energy, shields, and damage control manually or rely on AI. Armaments include beam weapons, missiles, mines, plasma shells, and decoys, with up to 4 electronic enhancements such as stealth and jamming, plus emergency boosters.

Customization, Strategy, and Control

Use the Scenario Generator to adjust galaxy size, difficulty, and development—ranging from combat-heavy frontlines to sparse space focused on exploration and base-building. Upgrade or build ships in the Spaceship Designer as new technologies unlock, and test designs in a live combat arena.

Co-pilots can take over at almost any time, earning shared credits while gaining their own experience. Track your fleet, form squads (including NPC ships), assign missions, and add carriers for rearm and repair. Explore via a detailed 3D galaxy map showing systems, sectors, warp routes, discoveries, and sightings. Manual saving is supported.

Multiplayer (coming soon): 2–6 players via local network or online.
