Apparition: Player VS Players is a tense 5-player asymmetric horror experience where 4 ghost hunters enter a cursed location against 1 player-controlled ghost. Choose to investigate the unknown with your team—or become the haunting itself and wipe out every intruder.

Play as a Ghost Hunter

Your objective is to identify the entity terrorizing the area, survive its attacks, and complete a chain of escalating tasks that can end in a final banishment ritual. Success requires coordination, communication, and smart equipment use. Tools like EMF readers, Spirit Boxes, thermal cameras, Crucifixes, and Holy Water help confirm evidence, protect the team, and create openings when the ghost becomes aggressive.

After the team reaches a conclusion, optional objectives may appear, offering extra cash and experience—but staying longer increases the risk. Survival hinges on teamwork: stick together, manage sanity, and use medicine when needed. When the ghost begins a hunt, you’ll need to hide, reposition, or fight back with the right countermeasures. Being alone is dangerous, especially as fear and sanity loss make mistakes more likely.

As the ghost, your goal is simple: eliminate all hunters. You can move unseen, listen to the hunters as they communicate, and build manifestation energy to unleash disturbing events. Trigger interactions, set traps, throw objects, and create jump-scare moments to drain sanity and push the team into panic before you strike.

Each ghost type features a unique active or passive ability that supports deception, control, or direct harm. Use your powers carefully—overusing them may reveal your identity to experienced hunters who are watching for patterns.
