The Hallowed Echo

The Hallowed Echo is a cooperative survival horror experience for 1–4 players, set deep within a cold, mist-choked forest where an ancient tree anchors a curse that refuses to die. You and your group are among the few who dare to return—intent on uncovering what happened to those who came before and finishing a ritual left incomplete years ago.

Survival is a constant struggle. You’ll need to build a camp, scavenge for weapons, tools, and supplies, and manage harsh needs like hunger, thirst, and fatigue while the forest’s chill presses in. Light is unreliable, and the world fights back with oppressive darkness, shifting shadows, and unsettling sounds that make every step feel like a risk. Staying alive often means staying quiet—because something is hunting you, and it listens.

Core gameplay pillars:

• Atmospheric stealth & tension — limited visibility, dynamic shadows, and a flashlight that can reveal as much danger as it prevents.
• Survival management — the elements and your own body become enemies if you neglect food, water, rest, and warmth.
• Investigation & anomalies — explore the forest, read the map, collect key items, and piece together a path through the unknown.

Playable solo or in a team, co-op can mean the difference between escape and collapse—but it comes with its own cost. Every footstep, every tool use, and every panicked shout can draw attention. Teammates can share resources and coordinate roles, but the threat grows more dangerous the more noise you make.

Combat exists, but power is limited. You can use firearms like a shotgun with grounded interactions such as aiming down sights and manual reloading. Inventory space is tight with a 4-slot system, forcing hard choices about what you carry into the dark.

The forest is ruled by a single relentless boss enemy. You cannot kill it outright—only weaken it long enough to complete what must be done. Your main objective is to destroy three cocoons near the cursed tree, set the tree ablaze, and survive until it burns. If all else fails, there may be another way out: reach the Machine and escape the forest.
