Echoes of Eternity is a post-apocalyptic action RPG infused with bullet-hell intensity, built to feel like a modern arcade survival run with a strong narrative core. Fight through a linear, dungeon-like progression where every encounter tests your positioning, timing, and ability to adapt under pressure.

Designed as a focused single-player experience, the main storyline runs about one hour, delivering a compact arc that can be replayed on different difficulties for a tougher climb and cleaner runs. Your goal is to push deeper into a hostile world, gathering what you need to outlast the chaos and confront the system at its heart.

The game features cutscenes and focused story arcs supported by generated assets and royalty-free music. It’s an experimental project that blends human craft with AI-assisted art, writing, and design—every sprite and system shaped through that hybrid process to create a raw, distinctive tone.

Created by a military combat veteran, Echoes of Eternity explores themes of resilience, loss, and endurance—a survival story about continuing forward when the world has already fallen apart.

Built Different

Developed without a traditional game engine, it’s written primarily in Python, with performance-critical systems optimized in Cython. Rendering and game logic leverage Pygame(-ce) and ModernGL, delivering a handcrafted feel from the code up. Future updates are planned, including speedrun leaderboards and a tower defense mode.
