The Bold Club description

The Bold Club

The Bold Club is a fast‑paced card game for 2 or more players where cheating isn’t just allowed—it’s expected. The game blends quick decisions with social tension, and every round feels like a new contest of wit, luck, and nerve. The core setup is simple: there are three shapes and three colors, and play revolves around matching the top card on the pile by shape or color.

On your turn, you must place a card that matches either the shape or the color on the top of the pile. The flow is brisk, the pressure is constant, and every move matters because the goal is to empty your hand before anyone else—by any means necessary.

The Bold Club adds two kinds of special cards to spice things up: Star cards and Cursed cards. Star cards help you win, giving you a leg up when the end is near. Cursed cards flip the odds against you if you don’t dispose of them quickly enough, adding a ticking clock element to every decision.

Cheating isn’t just tolerated—it’s part of the play. At any moment, you can secretly drop extra cards into your stack. The more you sneak in, the longer you’ll take to shed them, and the longer others have to catch you in the act. If someone suspects foul play, they can call it out and report the cheater.

When a player is accused of cheating, they perform a quick animation while discarding their cards. If the accusation is correct, the cheater must draw penalty cards. If the accusation is wrong, the accuser draws cards instead. The social pressure and risk of misjudgment are as much a part of the game as the cards themselves.

At the heart of every game is the cannon. It sets the pace, deals the cards, and makes each round unique. The cannon triggers the effects of special cards as soon as they’re played, applying benefits or penalties instantly. It doesn’t judge—it simply executes, driving the tense, fast, and sometimes chaotic action that defines The Bold Club.
