Fake Dream description

Fake Dream
Genre: Survival Action Horror
You arrive in a small town for work, exhausted and weighed down by remorse. While waiting for a train, you fall asleep at the station—only to wake in a place that looks familiar, yet feels fundamentally wrong. This “other” world mirrors reality, but its rules, its people, and its threats reveal something deeper. As you fight to survive, you’re pushed to face your own regrets and the truth of who you are.
Combat & Survival
Arm yourself with a wide range of tools across three weapon categories: firearms, melee weapons, and thrown weapons. Firearms can be upgraded in multiple ways—boosting attack power, rate of fire, effective range, critical chance, and maximum ammo capacity—letting you tailor your loadout to each challenge. Melee weapons offer both offense and defense; blocking depends on remaining durability, while attacks remain possible even if durability is depleted. Equip armor to reduce incoming damage and prevent status ailments, though armor effectiveness drops as durability wears down.
Enemies & Threats
Face a hostile roster ranging from humanoids to animal- and plant-like creatures, many wielding weapons of their own. Expect enemies that inflict status ailments, split their bodies, wear armor, require specific weak-point targeting, or even remain invulnerable. Some foes allow body-part destruction, enabling strategic removal of heads or limbs to shift the tide of battle.
Exploration, Puzzles & Stealth
Traverse a fairly large stage centered around a city, with sizable buildings you can enter and explore. Progress often requires puzzle-solving beyond key items—turning dials, aligning pieces, and rotating panels. At times you’ll encounter invincible enemies capable of instant-death attacks, making stealth and hiding essential to evade detection and secure the items needed to escape.
Progression & Replay
Earn in-game currency, Karma, automatically by defeating enemies, and by selling crystals found throughout the stage. Use Karma to buy ammo and recovery items, upgrade firearms, and repair melee weapons and armor. After a game over, you can continue from the previous scene. First playthrough length is roughly 5–6 hours, with additional replay value through carryover data (money, HP, equipment, slots, and more) and adjustable difficulty.
Difficulty, Records & Extras
Choose from Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare (unlocked after clearing Hard). Track your best performance with top-10 clear-time records per difficulty, and pursue 36 achievements. The game includes multiple movies and a clear, on-screen tutorial. Supports mouse & keyboard and gamepad, and offers 12 languages including English and Japanese.
