Fate of the Minotaur is a short, story-driven VR experience set in the heart of ancient Greek myth. You play as a human sacrifice from Athens, sent beneath King Minos’ palace into the infamous labyrinth designed by Daedalus—a place built to imprison the ferocious Minotaur.

Over the course of a focused 10–20 minute journey, you must find your way through twisting corridors and shadowed chambers using an interactive torch. Its light reveals the path ahead and uncovers fragments of the narrative hidden in the environment. As you explore, you’ll encounter key characters from the legend and discover story elements through narrated murals that echo the look and feel of ancient Greek art.

The experience is designed around easy-to-understand puzzles that keep the pace moving while encouraging observation and interaction. Navigation is handled by moving through the scenery and using your controllers to engage with objects and story moments. If you lose your bearings, a guiding thread is there to help you regain direction and continue deeper into the maze.

Built with comfort in mind, Fate of the Minotaur aims to reduce VR discomfort through vignettes and seamless level transitions, letting you stay immersed as the labyrinth shifts around you.

Visually, the game uses a stylized aesthetic inspired by Greek murals and vases, creating a distinctive mythic atmosphere while keeping technical demands lean. This release is the singleplayer version of the project; a separate on-site free-roaming/multiplayer setup exists for special venues, but the home experience focuses on a solo descent into legend.

Your journey culminates in a tense final encounter where you must decide the fate of the Minotaur—bringing your personal interpretation of the myth to its conclusion.
