Dust to Dust is currently in pre-production, inviting players into a moody, atmospheric Metroidvania where a cute little ghost must survive a high-tech specter research facility. Dash through interconnected levels, collecting wisps of spectral matter to fuel your powers and unlock new pathways as you unravel the facility’s secrets.

The game blends midcore hack-and-slash action with nimble traversal. You’ll snatch the body of a living medium to borrow his powers and confront hostile spectral creatures. A top-down perspective set in immersive 3D environments lets you climb vertical spaces and target the weak points of colossal enemies, turning the tide of battle with precise positioning and clever use of anatomy.

Expect about 10-20 hours of gameplay in a story-driven experience. Explore the C.R.E.E.P. ectoplasmic storage and research center, a facility built around a dam in the Alps that mingles ancient ruins with modern intrigue. A mysterious security breach has plunged the center into chaos, and along the way you will befriend Matthias, a young medium whose gifts set him apart and whose partnership is essential to escaping danger unscathed.

Stealth and ghostly abilities are core to progression. As a wraith, you can phase through walls, possess electronic devices like a poltergeist, and slip past other pursuing ghosts who may try to merge with you. Use these powers to navigate hazardous levels, discover hidden routes, and set up ambushes that disrupt stronger foes.

Master the medium’s powers by locating Matthias and taking control of his body to summon a phantom scythe. Combine your spectral abilities to turn Coalesced ghosts into dust, then harvest their Dust to fuel further power growth, destroy spectral matter, and unleash devastating combos in rapid succession.
