Cadentia Farnese is a narrative visual novel that invites you to rediscover Rome’s iconic Palazzo Farnese through a playful, chance-driven structure. Inspired by the building’s unmistakable silhouette—nicknamed “the Dice” by Romans—the game asks you to roll the dice and unlock 12 stories, each revealing a different facet of the palace’s history, art, and hidden life.

Every roll opens a new chapter, guiding you from the palace’s grand Renaissance presence to the details most visitors never see. Descend into the underground to encounter mysterious ancient mosaics preserved beneath the palace. Step into the world of modern statecraft with rare glimpses behind the scenes of international diplomacy, as Palazzo Farnese has served as the headquarters of the French Embassy for over 150 years.

Your journey also follows traces left by those who lived, worked, and dreamed inside these walls. In the celebrated Galleria dei Carracci, uncover graffiti left by 18th-century art students, revealed during a recent restoration—small, human marks in a monumental setting. Along the way, you’ll meet the towering presence of Michelangelo, reflecting on the palace’s transformation and his own life, and you’ll be drawn into the dramatic atmosphere of Act II of Tosca, echoing Giacomo Puccini’s masterpiece as it intersects with the palace’s aura.

Cadentia Farnese also bridges centuries by letting you experience the palace as a living place: from a highly anticipated French summer celebration to the arrival of electronic music within the Renaissance architecture—moments that show how history continues to evolve rather than stand still.
