Retrovolver description
Retrovolver
Retrovolver (formerly known as Bandit Bill) brings a PlayStation 1–inspired look and feel to a fast, replayable rogue-like first-person shooter set in the Wild West. After earning 9th place in a PS1-themed game jam, it arrives on Steam with expanded content—sharper pacing, more to discover, and more ways to build your run.
You play as an outlaw with a single goal: get paid. The townsfolk don’t care about your dreams—everyone’s gunning for you, and survival is never guaranteed. Each run drops you into danger quickly, asking you to keep moving, keep looting, and keep your gun fed with ammo before the next wave closes in.
Key Features
- Procedurally generated towns: Every run begins in a newly generated town layout, pushing you to adapt your route, your fights, and your looting priorities each time you play.
- Ammo management and scavenging: You start with a limited supply of bullets, but staying alive means searching for more ammunition as you explore and fight.
- Varied enemies and escalating pressure: Battle through waves of threats, including cowboys, sheriffs, snakes, and other hostile surprises that turn every street into a risk-reward decision.
- Rob, loot, and power up: Raid the town for wealth and resources, then use what you’ve taken to improve your run—because getting richer means hitting harder.
- Upgrades between towns: Clear a town and a travelling trader appears, offering upgrades, items, and power-ups to help you shape your next push forward.
- Lootable containers: Search containers throughout the environment to find useful supplies and keep your momentum going.
With its retro presentation, procedural structure, and constant push to scavenge, upgrade, and survive, Retrovolver delivers a tense outlaw power fantasy where every town is a new score—and every mistake can end the run.
