LabRATory — Co-Op Puzzle-Platformer

LabRATory is a co-op puzzle-platformer where two scientists are turned into the very creatures they studied—rats. Take control of Edwin von Braun and Lila Redwood, each with unique abilities and a shared tail-connection that binds their fates. Use clever thinking, teamwork, and your tails to solve physics-based challenges and uncover the shrouded story behind the experiment gone wrong.

Co-Op Play

Team up with a friend on the same screen in Local Co-Op, or connect online with Steam Remote Play Together. Each player commands one member of the duo, and every puzzle is crafted around collaboration. Two minds, two tails, one shared goal: escape the lab.

Tail Connection & Movement

Your tails tether you to your partner or latch onto the environment. Use the connection to swing across gaps, pull or drag objects, and reach places you could not access alone. The tail mechanic adds a dynamic layer to traversal and puzzle solving, where positioning and timing are key.

Puzzles & Physics

Solve a variety of physics-based puzzles by pulling, swinging, lifting, and coordinating actions with your partner. Interact with an assortment of contraptions and environments that react to your moves, demanding careful cooperation and shared problem solving to progress.

Story & Escape

Piece together the mystery behind the facility and the motives of Edwin and Lila as their journey unfolds. The narrative reveals why the experiment went wrong and what the duo must confront to regain their humanity.

World & Exploration

Explore the lab as it opens up into distinct testing environments and biomes, each introducing new mechanics, hazards, and curious characters. Encounter strange allies and foes as you push deeper into the facility and its secrets.
